Prior to Tottenham’s return, Ange Postecoglou praises Mauricio Pochettino and says he WILL be well-received.

Mauricio Pochettino’s “undeniable” impact on Spurs has earned him a warm reception from the club’s supporters, according to Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

For the first time since his dismissal in 2018, the Argentine is expected to rejoin the team.

Pochettino led Spurs to the Champions League final and a second-place Premier League result during his four and a half years in north London.

The Argentine was a fan favorite while he was at the team, and after Antonio Conte was fired last summer, there was a push to re-appoint him.

Pochettino did, of course, end up at Chelsea, which has some Spurs supporters miffed.

However, Postecoglou asserts that Pochettino will receive the recognition he merits for the outstanding work he completed at the team.

Postecoglou declared, “There’s no denying that he had a phenomenal impact on this football club.”

That is our ultimate goal, as a group. There is no denying his influence on this club. There is no doubting his work. Those who worked with him, whom I speak with here, have nothing but praise for him.

“I don’t think the supporters and staff at this club will feel anything but respect for Mauricio.” We want to win the game, and he won’t expect that, so he won’t receive a guard of honor or anything.

When Reece James gets back to north London on Monday night, Pochettino wants to start him.

On Wednesday night, the defender started for the first time since August in a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Blackburn.

But after just one hour, he asked to be replaced because he was “tired.”

You would think that Monday night’s victory over Ange Postecoglou’s team at Stamford Bridge would come as no surprise, but Paul Merson wasn’t.

“Playing Brentford at home gives me less confidence than traveling to Tottenham on Monday.” Yes, I am. I’m going on Monday because I know Tottenham will give it their best. If Chelsea were to lose, I would be very surprised.
