Four senior Springboks played in their final Rugby World Cup when South Africa beat the New Zealand All Blacks.
The Springboks produced a heroic performance to defeat the All Blacks and win their fourth Rugby World Cup.
There are four stars we may never see again at the tournament, but what an adventure it was.

Deon Fourie (37), Duane Vermeulen (37), Trevor Nyakane (34) and Willie le Roux (34) are the only players on the South African rugby team born in the 1990s and 80.
No one will forget Vermeulen’s virtuosity was showcased in Yokohama four years ago when he won the Man of the Match award against England in the final.
Fourie, a member of the Utility Bomb squad, rose from his years in Paris to win rugby’s biggest prize, proving to be an invaluable selection.
Likewise, it’s hard to see Trevor Nyakane or Willie le Roux becoming part of the World Cup squad in four years’ time.
EXPERIENCE IS IMPORTANT This Springbok World Cup winning team is brimming with experience beyond the Golden Oldies.
Notably, Bongi Mbinambi, Steven Kitshoff, Frans Malherbe, Eben Etzebeth, Franco Mostert, Siya Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Faf de Klerk and Kwagga Smith all “wrongly” numbered 30.
Some of them will soon hang up their boots and most of them still have at least one more World Cup left.

The Springboks will begin their Rugby World Cup Trophy tour of Pretoria on Thursday morning when the open-top bus departs from Union Buildings at 09:30.
The Gauteng route will start heading east and will pass through Loftus Versfeld before heading west.

The Boks will then move on to Johannesburg, where they are expected to kick off at 2pm at 1 Jan Smuts Avenue in Braamfontein before crossing the Nelson Mandela Bridge and then heading towards Soweto.
The Gauteng tour will conclude when the Boks arrive at FNB Stadium at around 3:45pm – entry is free and tickets are available from Ticketpros.
The Springboks will be in Cape Town on Friday, where a large crowd is expected at the Grand Parade next to City Hall, where they are expected to appear at 11:30am .
The bus route will start shortly after 12:00 and pass through the Cape Town CBD From 2:30pm, they are expected to pass through Langa and Bonteheuwel before returning to the city center at around 5:30pm.
The Boks will move to KwaZulu-Natal early on Saturday morning for a tour, starting at the Garden Court Hotel in Umhlanga around 9:30am, traveling to Durban City Hall and finally to uShaka Marine World, where they were expected at approximately 1:45 p.m.
The final takes place on Sunday in East London, starting and finishing at the Garden Court Hotel from around 10am to 2pm.
Route details will be posted on the Springboks’ social media channels, along with updates if necessary, as all routes and times are subject to change.
Satellite tours of other population centers in the Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Northern Cape, among others, are being planned, with timing dependent on player commitments in clubs.
