Tottenham’s Argentine striker scored in the 3-1 defeat to Peterbrough United on Wednesday night.

Tottenham’s summer signing Alejo Veliz bagged his first goal since joining from Rosario Central in the summer but Spurs’ Under-21 side lost 3-1 to Peterborough United in the EFL Trophy.

The Argentine striker has been tipped to be one of the best forwards in Europe by those who have watched from his early days.

Tottenham have been great with these kind of signings having seen the form of players like Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr , both have been key to the team’s success under Ange Postecoglou.
The 20-year-old has been in and around the first team and made cameos in a couple of games including the Liverpool and Fulham games but was an unused substitute as Spurs battled to a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace that kept them to pf the table.

Veliz goal though now gives manager Ange Postecoglou something to think about as he is the only striker who offers the physicality that is sometimes needed when you play against top teams in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites have been excellent under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, who is yet to lose a home game in over 45 games, although that record will be put to the test when they host Chelsea in the north London on Monday night.

Everyone seems to be moving in the same direction and it’s a credit to the manager from Celtic that they won the league.
Ange Postecoglou’s arrival in north London has been relatively easy and troublesome, with many believing it will be a while before he freezes the team out.

Tottenham have beaten Manchester United and Liverpool and it will be interesting to see how they fare against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
