Mario Bittencourt, the president of Fluminense, has acknowledged that he anticipates receiving significant bids for Andre Trindade, who is rumored to be a target for Tottenham.
The midfielder, simply known as Andre, has been the talk of the Brazilian top division the past few years and was a major factor in Fluminense’s historic Copa Libertadores victory.
The 22-year-old was the standout performer in the Marcana final over the weekend, and Lance had reported a few days prior that Tottenham was among the clubs sending scouts to observe the young player in the main event.
A recent report from Globo Esporte claims that Liverpool, Arsenal, Fulham, and West Ham are also keeping an eye on Andre.
According to the source, Fluminense rejected an offer from the Reds for the midfield player during the summer transfer window because they wanted to keep the player for the remainder of their Libertadores campaign.
The article also stated that the Brazilian team anticipates Andre’s departure in January. It is said that the midfield player is worth €35 million (£30.3 million).
For Andre, bids are anticipated to come in shortly.
After the FIFA Club World Cup in December, Bittencourt has now stated that he believes the young player will be the biggest sale in Fluminense’s history.
