This 22-year-old has incredible talent. He was outstanding for Nottingham Forest the previous season, and at Tottenham this term, he has already displayed flashes of his talent. Page thinks Johnson’s pace and versatility are fantastic.

On the day of the transfer deadline, Tottenham acquired Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest for a sum of £47.5 million (Sky Sports).
The Welsh player has a remarkably broad skill set. The main reason Ange Postecoglou was eager to sign him was probably because he can play anywhere across the front three.
Johnson has made five appearances for Tottenham so far, and each time he has performed admirably. Yes, he hasn’t scored yet, but the system he plays in will eventually allow him to do so. Positively, he appears to be performing well in training as well.
Regarding Johnson, his international manager Rob Page stated that he prefers to play the 22-year-old as a striker because of his frightening pace, which terrifies defenders.
“Brennan is proving at club level that he can play a multitude of positions,” he said to BBC Sport. It’s a useful dilemma to have as a manager. He improves quality.
“As a nine, he is a different kind of player than Kieffer Moore. He’s getting a job that works for him. Kieffer is our nine, but Brennan is also capable of playing that position.
“Just because of his pace, I rate him a nine. Because of his pace, which intimidates opponents, there isn’t a defender in the world who will want to play against him or DJ [Daniel James].
He occasionally plays left of a three, which works for the way we currently play. He is demonstrating his ability to play any of the front three positions at Tottenham on the left.
I won’t categorize him as a number nine, then. I’m going to place some wagers and suggest that [he] could play any of the top three positions.
Johnson could become a Tottenham star.
Brennan Johnson has only made three substitute appearances for Tottenham thus far, but this could be the start of a shift in his role.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that Richardson had surgery and would be sidelined for some time.
This makes room for the 22-year-old Welshman to start regularly for Spurs, and he could certainly contribute to the team’s offensive output.
Johnson has the potential to be a superstar for Tottenham if he has a strong run of games right away.
