While on international duty, Wales international Ben Davies has been discussing a variety of Tottenham Hotspur-related subjects, such as Brennan Johnson, Ange Postecoglou, and Joe Rodon.
Ben Davies has praised Brennan Johnson, said that Ange Postecoglou has been a breath of fresh air at Tottenham, and said that Joe Rodon is now demonstrating his abilities to others.
With the left back filling in at center back for the injured Micky van de Ven, who will be sidelined until January due to a hamstring injury, Davies impressed in the Spurs’ loss at Wolves on Saturday. He was named man of the match and received praise from the head coach following the game. Cristian Romero was suspended for three games following his red card against Chelsea.
This season, the Welshman has started just two Premier League games and has had to wait patiently for his opportunity to start. His ankle injury in the first game against Crystal Palace ended prematurely. Davies was all smiles despite playing little actual time with Postecoglou.
“It’s not always simple to remove members of a successful team. Davies remarked, “Brennan has been great.” “He missed a significant amount of football last month as well, so the amount of game time he’s had doesn’t always correlate with the passing of time. He has been a huge help to us since he arrived, so I consider myself extremely fortunate to have him here at Wales as well.”
Another Wales international left it when Johnson arrived, as Rodon signed a season-long loan with Leeds United. With a series of outstanding performances, the 26-year-old has rapidly established himself as a fan favorite at Elland Road, and many are urging the team to sign him permanently in the summer.
“It is challenging,” Davies remarked. I believe he has truly found a home in Leeds. Sometimes people underestimate how difficult it is to move every nine months because of work or personal circumstances. Joe is an excellent player. He is always very reliable, skilled with the ball, and I believe our communication is strong. I play with him for Wales every time.It really does cheer me to see him succeed at Leeds.
Since Joe is one of my closest football friends, we communicate frequently. He is the kind of player who is an extremely good defender and is currently, in my opinion, demonstrating this when he is at a place where he feels appreciated and is having a good run of games.”
“I think it was a great opportunity to go there,” he continued. “He knew he was going to play a lot of football there at a big club with hopes of returning to the Premier League.” He is loving it there and has had such a great start.”
