Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison has been rated as the second-best player in the Premier League this season.
This comes as soccer statistics website WhoScored has named the midfielder as one of the 11 best players in the Premier League.
James Maddison joined from Leicester City in the summer for a fee of £40m and has made a huge impression at Spurs, The 26-year-old quickly established himself as a key player in Ange Postecoglou’s side, scoring eight goals in 11 league games.
Of course, Tottenham suffered a huge blow last week when Maddison injured his ankle in the game against Chelsea, The England international is expected to be out until the New Year and his absence was certainly felt at the weekend as Spurs lost 2-1 to Wolves.

Mickey Van de Ven surprisingly missed out on an unusual start to the season with Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Brentford’s Nathan Collins forming the squad.
It is certainly no surprise that Maddison has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season.
The playmaker was in exceptional form before his injury, but keeping him out until 2024 is a huge blow for Spurs.
Postecoglou will have to find a way to throat Spurs in the final third after a disappointing performance at Wolves.
