It’s predicted that Victor Nelsson, who Tottenham Hotspur is interested in, will almost definitely leave Galatasaray during the January transfer window.
The Denmark international’s spot in the Galatasaray defense has been threatened since Davinson Sanchez joined from Tottenham in the summer, as the Colombian has made a significant impact.
Nelsson has only played in three of the Turkish club’s previous seven league games, two of which were as a substitute.
Galatasaray has developed a strategy and is currently outlining plans for the player’s future.
According to Turkish daily Takvim (via A Spor), Nelsson’s departure from Galatasaray in January is now all but guaranteed, and the team is considering a loan to one of the top five leagues in Europe.
Galatasaray think that by playing there, Nelsson can increase his value in advance of the anticipated summer transfer.
Nelsson, 25, has drawn interest from Tottenham, who even wanted to include him in any possible trade for Sanchez. However, Galatasaray turned down their advances.
After Micky van de Ven’s injury, Ange Postecoglou is anticipated to enter the January transfer window in search of a defender.
And with money restricted at Tottenham, so the north London team might be better off loaning Nelsson.

‘Sorry to be that guy’…Alasdair Gold has some bad news for Tottenham fans
As a string of injuries threatens to ruin Tottenham’s season, the team’s supporters have grown accustomed to the bad news in recent weeks.
James Maddison and Micky van de Ven suffered serious injuries in the last few weeks, and Ange Postecoglou had to deal with them. Rickardson is also out of the picture. It’s been a terrible few weeks when you add in two straight losses and Cristian Romero’s suspension.
But defender Van de Ven seemed to raise some Tottenham supporters’ expectations earlier when he hinted at a potential early return on Instagram by posting an image of an egg timer.
However, Tottenham journalist Alasdair Gold has put a dampener on things by claiming that, as far as he is aware, nothing has changed with the Dutchman on social media through X.
Thus, it appears that, contrary to Postecoglou’s initial suggestion, Van van Ven won’t be seen by Tottenham supporters until the new year.
Tottenham urgently needs Van de Ven’s return.
Without a doubt, Van van Ven’s injury is a major concern for Spurs right now.
Ange’s ability to match Premier League defenders in Spurs’ high-line defense and his speed have been a huge asset.
Naturally, the team may try to sign a new defender in January, and Tottenham is reportedly considering Lloyd Kelly as one of their options.
But they have to return Van de Ven as soon as possible. Yes, considering the nature of the injury, caution is necessary. However, Romero’s status as a walking card makes him even more crucial to Spurs.
Although some Spurs fans were enthused by his Instagram post today, it appears that nothing has changed as of yet.
