Daniel Levy wants out of Tottenham in January, and Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Roma are all interested in signing him. However, two players who are reportedly linked to leaving the team won’t be let go.
For Tottenham, the January transfer window is looking to be very important. Although a wave of injuries and suspensions has had a severe impact, Ange Postecoglou’s team has dominated from the start this season.
Spurs lost their previous two games before the international break. However, there is still a strong chance of at least making it into the Champions League for the following season.
Moves in the January window are anticipated to help achieve that goal.
According to The Independent, a former Chelsea winger is being considered as a fresh option out wide.
In other situations, it might be more important to sign a center-half. There are just three recognized center halves available to Postecoglou, and two of them are presently out due to suspension (Micky van de Ven with a hamstring injury and Cristian Romero).
Only Eric Dier and whoever else Postecoglou chooses to play out of position is left to hold down the fort. The last time out, Ben Davies, a left-back, played at center-half against Wolves.
However, despite Dier’s increased significance to the team, multiple sources concur he will be fired in January.
At season’s end, the 29-year-old’scontractexpires, and according to Football Insider, he plans to finish it out before becoming a free agent.
Dier would have more clubs to pick from if this were done. Because the purchasing club isn’t paying a transfer fee, free agents frequently also have the opportunity to sign more lucrative contracts.
But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy isn’t in the mood to lose a marketable player for nothing, according to The Mirror.

For example, if only one team expresses serious interest in signing Dier, they will probably be willing to wait six months to do so before signing him for free. Tottenham must therefore compete for his signature in January in order to get payment.
The Sun concludes that even though Dier is free to go, he won’t actually be let go until a direct replacement is agreed upon.
The article mentions Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth as a possible Dier replacement. AC Milan, Juventus, and Liverpool will compete for the left-footer’ssignature.
Lo Celso and Hojbjerg will be spared. for now
In other news, The Sun claims that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso—two exit-linked candidates—will not be let go in January.
According to the report, “Hojbjerg and Lo Celso are expected to stay until they make a move to leave or the club receives offers that they feel they cannot refuse.”
Spurs have no intention of offloading either player, in part due to two impending absences.
Both Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma could miss up to a month of competition while representing their respective nations at the Africa Cup of Nations. The competition begins on January 13 and ends on February 11 with a final.
Sarr (Senegal) and Bissouma (Mali) have been Postecoglou’s preferred midfield duo this season. It is inexplicable to lose Hojbjerg and Lo Celso when Bissouma and Sarr will be absent.
Come summertime, the tale of Hojbjerg and Lo Celso might be very different.
