PL Team of the Season so far with four Tottenham aces but zero Man Utd stars

After just 12 games of the new season, the Premier League has already produced a great deal of drama and controversy. The competition at the top of the table is closer than it has been in a number of years thanks to an extraordinary summer of spending. Goalkeeper – Vicario

Guglielmo Vicario may not have been well-known to English football fans prior to his summer transfer from Empoli to Tottenham. However, they will undoubtedly be aware of the caliber of play he has displayed in his first twelve games.

Vicario has adapted to life in north London and has moved from Hugo Lloris with ease. Alisson of Liverpool and Sam Johnstone of Crystal Palace both received honorable mentions.

Defence – Trippier, Saliba, Van de Ven, Udogie

At Newcastle, Kieran Tripper has maintained his excellent play from the previous campaign. With six assists so far this season, he is undoubtedly one of the best additions made since the takeover at St. James’ Park.

The fact that William Saliba is back to full fitness indicates how much Arsenal missed him towards the end of the previous season. Two more Spurs players, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie, are positioned next to him in defense.

Van de Ven, a £43 million acquisition from Wolfsburg, was outstanding prior to suffering a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s defeat. This term, Udogie got a taste of Premier League football for the first time, and he took to it immediately.

Like James Maddison at Tottenham, the Spaniard is an essential cog in Pep Guardiola’s machine. In his first 11 league games with Spurs, he recorded three goals and five assists.

Since he hurt his ankle against Chelsea, they have dropped their last two games. Declan Rice, an England teammate, has demonstrated why Arsenal paid a club record £105 million for him in the summer.

Yves Bissouma, Bernardo Silva, and Dominik Szoboszlai—all of whom have had fantastic months—are kept out by the midfield trio.

Attack – Salah, Haaland, Watkins

With 13 goals, Erling Haaland is once again atop the goalscoring standings. This season, the Norwegian may break even more records since he never tires of scoring.

Mohamed Salah’s ten goals in the first 12 games have put any talk of a possible move to Saudi Arabia to rest. He is well on his way to another fantastic season, having already contributed four assists for his teammates.

Ollie Watkins has been Aston Villa’s standout player during their incredible start under Unai Emery. The forward places himself ahead of Julian Alvarez and Heung-min Son in this squad with six goals and five assists.
