Safety Budda Baker of the Arizona Cardinals talked with media following the team’s defeat by the Los Angeles Rams.
Arizona — In Week 12, the Arizona Cardinals suffered a 37-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, adding another loss to their record.
Before the Rams took complete control, the Cardinals had an early 8-7 lead and appeared to be competitive against their division rivals.

Regarding the largest defensive battle of the day:
To be honest, a little bit of everything. Both of them performed admirably, both in the run and pass games, in my opinion.
Regarding the directive to the group as its head:
“Keep up the competition. We take each day as it comes because we aren’t guaranteed this game. We simply try to be the best players we can be when we get to work. There’s always competition. Although we have more opportunities to play football, we must take advantage of them even though our record isn’t what we would like it to be.
Regarding Jalen Thompson of the Cardinals’ interceptions in consecutive games:
Fantastic. He made a brilliant play in that particular call we had while they were driving us crazy. Fantastic play. I informed him that he had a chance to score if he had stayed upright. I’m thrilled to see him play more excellent football because he’s doing a fantastic job both leading the defense and getting to the football. In the end, we simply want to prevail.
Regarding whether LB Josh Woods’ green dot today made a difference:
Josh is an excellent athlete. He made the calls for us when they were needed. That was his job, all right. Although I haven’t seen the movie yet, we’ll keep going day by day. Naturally, there’s a reason why we have Kyzir White (LB) playing that MIKE linebacker, but in the end, the standard is the standard. Coming in, having the green dot, and calling out plays has been expertly handled by Josh Woods.
What disappoints me the most about today’s loss?
“Stop the run, as that’s where it all begins. They don’t execute play action passes and other similar plays unless they execute their run game well. This week, stopping the run was the key, and we simply failed to do that.
Regarding the three rookie cornerbacks who started today:
“Ongoing expansion.
They returned and gave it their all. Great players. That group of rookies will only get better, and I’m very optimistic about their future.
Regarding his reset strategy after a loss:
I will feel the same way today as I will feel the same way tomorrow. After watching the movie, we’ll get to work and realize what we could have done differently. It’s the “next game mentality” after tomorrow since you won’t have a bright future if you keep living in the past. It’s the primary objective.
