Tottenham’s Nigerian-born left-back Due to card accumulation, Destiny Udogie could receive a one-match suspension from the Premier League.

The 21-year-old has already received four yellow cards; if he receives one more, the rules stipulate that he will be suspended.

According to Premier League regulations, a player will miss one match if they are given five yellow cards in the first 19 games of the season.

Udogie has already played 14 games; in order to avoid the aforementioned punishment, he must avoid receiving a caution in the remaining five games.

The defender, who was born in Italy, had previously served a one-match suspension following his red card in Tottenham’s matchday 11 loss to Chelsea.

He had a fantastic start to the season, but in recent weeks, especially after recovering from a muscular injury last month, it appears that he has lost his way.

He has continued to play for the team, but he hasn’t been able to live up to the high standards that won him a lot of praise at the beginning of the campaign.

This season, he has participated in 12 Premier League games, all of which he has started.

On Wednesday, two idealistic teams from Brighton and Brentford will play each other. Fans were treated to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the 2022–2023 match, and since Seagulls fans have yet to witness their team record a league clean sheet, there should be an equal amount of excitement here at the AMEX.

The Crystal Palace team contributed to a terrible 1-1 draw with West Ham on Sunday, but Roy Hodgson’s team may face stiff opposition from Bournemouth, who are on a three-game winning streak and six points above the drop zone.

Liverpool, who came from behind to steal all three points against Fulham, produced an incredible array of goals, so the Blades could have done without a matchup with them.

Manchester City dropped to third place after missing opportunities and receiving dubious officiating. The champions will face a challenging opponent in Aston Villa. This season, Unai Emery’s team has won all six of their league games at Villa Park, and on Wednesday night, they could cause Pep Guardiola and company even more annoyance.

When Manchester United and Chelsea play at Old Trafford, all kinds of mayhem may break out. The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Newcastle on the road, putting on another lackluster performance; however, the Blues overcame Conor Gallagher’s red card just before halftime to defeat Brighton 3-2.

Newcastle continues to put on strong shows in spite of their long list of injuries; Nick Pope is the most recent casualty. Even though their playing roster is extremely thin, the Magpies are strong favorites to defeat Everton on Thursday; had it not been for their recent point penalty, Everton would be in 12th place.

A London derby between Tottenham and West Ham will wrap up the action. Spurs’ late 3-3 draw with Man City was a fitting reward for their efforts, but they haven’t won since late October. Ange Postecoglou will try to alter that by handing the Hammers their first loss since early November.
