In a video, Ian Wright could be seen ecstatic after Arsenal overcame Luton 4-3 on Tuesday night, winning late thanks to a header from summer acquisition Declan Rice in the seventh minute of injury time.

In the video, Wright also made fun of James Maddison, who had apparently said that his England teammate Rice was a “top player” but that he “hated” the player for going to Arsenal, according to a report from The Mirror.

Rice has made an impact for the north London team since joining the Gunners in the summer for a record-breaking £105 million. He has scored three goals in the Premier League thus far.

After Kai Havertz’s goal in the 60th minute helped Mikkel Arteta’s team tie the score at 3-3, Arsenal pushed for a victory against Luton. In the seventh minute of injury time, Rice rose high to meet a cross from Martin Odegaard and score the game-winning goal.

Ian Wright, who was watching in the studio before going crazy, witnessed the scenes of jubilation that broke out among the traveling Arsenal supporters at Kenilworth Road.

Eric Dier, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly seriously considering going back to Sporting Lisbon, according to talkSPORT.

Dier’s hopes of possibly saving his Tottenham career appeared to be dashed last week against Aston Villa when Ange Postecoglou started Emerson Royal in place of the 29-year-old, the only senior center-back who was healthy.

The only thing left to decide seems to be whether the England international will sign a new contract this summer or wait until the next transfer window to depart.

Sporting Lisbon and Roma are reportedly considering moves for the center-back, who Spurs chairman Daniel Levy hopes to command in January, according to a report published in The Daily Mirror last month.

Dier was left out of Postecoglou’s starting lineup for Sunday’s 3-3 draw against Manchester City due to an injury the England international sustained during practice prior to the matchup with the Premier League leaders.

Dier is thinking about going back to Sporting.

According to talkSPORT, Dier is now “seriously considering” going back to the Portuguese team where he started his career before moving to Tottenham in 2014.

The source notes that the Spurs star will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs starting next month, but it does not specify whether the center-back wants to move to Lisbon in January or summer of next year.

The article also discloses that Dier was extended offers from Tottenham to other Premier League teams during the summer, but the defender preferred to relocate overseas.

I have a feeling Dier wants to play out his contract and sign a free transfer with another team next summer, when he will have a lot more options and a higher salary.

But if Postecoglou doesn’t pick him in the upcoming weeks, maybe the 29-year-old will become impatient with his lack of playing time and be receptive to the opportunities that present themselves in January.
