Guglielmo Vicario’s debut in North London has undoubtedly delighted Tottenham Hotspur supporters, and the goalkeeper has acknowledged that the sentiment is very much reciprocal.
Tottenham clearly needed a new starting goalkeeper this season after Hugo Lloris’s remarkable decline in play from the previous campaign. Guglielmo Vicario was chosen as the man to take the place of the former Spurs captain following a comparatively brief search.
Vicario is one of the standout players under Ange Postecoglou, and the Italian has rapidly demonstrated that Tottenham made the right decision. The 27-year-old has been excellent even in the recent losses, especially in the wild match against Chelsea at the beginning of November.

“From day one, my integration went really well. It’s crucial to feel comfortable in the locker room with your teammates, so I have to appreciate them for making it easier for me. It was simple from the beginning, as if we had known each other for a very long time.
How quickly Vicario adapted to his new surroundings and established himself as one of the league’s most capable keepers has really impressed me. He exudes a strong sense of authority and is well-respected by his peers, both of which are crucial qualities for a player in his position.
