Tottenham and the trio from River Plate in Argentina are “engaged in talks.”
Tottenham is directly in the thick of things as Premier League clubs show a strong interest in River Plate trio Claudio Echeverri, Agustin Ruberto, and Ian Subiabre.
According to the 90-minute report, a number of Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Brighton, Chelsea, and Tottenham, are interested in signing the trio.
Given their positive relationship with River Plate from their previous Julian Alvarez deal, City is reportedly in the lead in the race to sign them.
In addition, it is reported that Chelsea is “working hard” to complete the signings, specifically for Echeverri and Ruberto, who will both turn 18 in January and become eligible to move abroad.
In the meantime, Tottenham, Brighton, and United have started negotiations to sign the three young talents.
The report also states that Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Inter are among the teams that are interested in them.
Tottenham made excellent summer hiring decisions. They signed players who made an immediate impression, including Manor Solomon, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, and Brennan Johnson.
They allegedly also made a €100 million bid for Vitor Roque, the young player who ultimately decided to sign with Barcelona.
Although it appears that there is fierce competition for the three River Plate players, it is extremely encouraging that Tottenham is linked to players who are desired by the top teams in the world.

The manager of Spurs wants more from his forward line because they are the least prolific team in the top six.
Ange Postecoglou identified Dejan Kulusevski as a player who can score more goals and said that Tottenham has a lot of room for improvement in the closing third.
In a 3-3 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, Postecoglou’s Spurs displayed their attacking prowess as Kulusevski headed home a 90th-minute equalizer.
The Australian team is the lowest scorers in a goal-heavy top six, despite their average of two goals per game in the Premier League. They lost three straight games to Chelsea, Wolves, and Aston Villa, missing numerous opportunities before drawing with the champions.
Prior to West Ham’s visit on Thursday, Postecoglou stated, “We are still well short in that area.” We still have a lot more room to grow in our front third and score more goals there.
“I genuinely believe that, aside from a few areas where we still need to improve, as a team, we have a lot more work ahead of us in the front third.
Right now, some of it is visible. Deki Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson are beginning to settle into their roles, and Gio Lo Celso is scoring a few goals from midfield. However, I believe there is room for improvement in this area.”
After starting at No. 10 in the matches against Aston Villa and City, Kulusevski said he felt like “the real me.” However, he switched back to the right wing for the second half at the Etihad and met Johnson’s cross to earn a point for a depleted Spurs team.
With Bryan Gil a possible substitute and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg vying for a starting position in midfield against the Hammers, the Swede might find himself back in the front three.
Regarding Kulusevski, Postecoglou declared, “I like him out wide.” We’re really pushing him in those areas because he has the potential to be a much greater goal threat.
“He’s probably better suited in my system out wide because of his overall work ethic, energy, and ability to break lines with his running, but after watching him centrally the last few games, he’s very effective there and definitely an option for us.”
Postecoglou is unconcerned about Heung-min Son, who scored the game’s first goal against City with a brilliant breakaway effort.
Although the Spurs head coach stated that the team is looking for a new center forward, he believes that Son, who is “inspiring,” will go down as one of the greatest in Premier League history.
“He’s outstanding in every way,” Postecoglou remarked. “Though he has played a lot of his career out wide, he has always been a goal threat, so I’d be very surprised if by the time he’s finished, which is very soon, he’s not up there as one of the outstanding strikers.”
“He has nine goals for the year already because I’m putting him inside now. In my opinion, he leads the league in offside goals scored as well!
“Working with him on a daily basis and seeing the example he sets, both as a football player and as a person, is truly remarkable.
“Seeing someone who, in essence, has scaled a mountain numerous times in terms of his own football history and yet enjoys what he does every day inspires me. He considers it a blessing every day, and he shares that feeling with others on a daily basis.
“And that’s how he plays the game. He practically just chases balls as he runs around. I’m still motivated by that, and I’m honored to collaborate with him.
“Leadership is defined as that [energy]. Everyone looks to the leaders when things aren’t going well and the chips are down.
“What actions do your leaders take? And I believe he simply developed the notion that I won’t stop running during this time, regardless of what people say about me. And people are impacted by that.
“He has been a force during this time, where we have had to sort of dig deep and which we are still going through.”
A new center-half is the club’s top priority, but Spurs are looking to bolster their entire roster during the January transfer window.
“Sonny will be a very important part of what we’re building,” Postecoglou went on. However, that does not imply that we would not sign a new striker because I believe even Sonny would insist on it from me.
“My best players always want to see more good players in the building if you’re going to build a winning team.”
