Following up their victory from the previous Sunday’s match, the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club scored a winning goal on Tuesday, December 12, this time to donate gifts to the children’s ward at North Mid.
The Spurs have a custom of traveling to North Mid around Christmas to see ailing kids. Additionally, there is always a buzz of excitement when the team comes to visit because the players take time out of their hectic schedules to make the young patients smile.
This Christmas, Ryan Sessegnon, Alfie Dorrington, and Brandon Austin will be stopping by Rainbow Ward.
As they interacted with the kids, the Tottenham Hotspur, who are well-known for their skill on the football pitch, showed off their endearing and caring side and brightened the hospital atmosphere. The visit served as evidence of the team’s dedication to getting involved in the community and having a positive influence off the football field.
After speaking with us, the three Spurs players discussed the importance of their visit with patients and their families.
“For us, these visits may look little, but it’s very big for them,” Ryan Sessegnon remarked. It is crucial that we spread joy and happiness alone.
In agreement, Brandon Austin stated: “Coming here helps the patients, especially the kids as we bring some Christmas cheer.” Since some families are clearly going through a difficult time right now, anything we can do to cheer them up is always appreciated.
“It means a lot to give back to our community, seeing the little kids put smiles on their faces, it means a lot to the Club and to us,” Alfie Dorrington continued.
The players created cherished memories for the young patients and their families by philanthropically giving gifts and mementos to them while they were at Rainbow Ward for babies, children, and young adults. Everyone in attendance felt better because of the players’ sincere warmth and kindness, which made the hospital visit uplifting and unforgettable.
“It means a lot to see the Tottenham Hotspur players be part of the community and share some Christmas spirit on the wards to the sick children,” said Michelle Lai-kit, the parent of one of the children who has been in the hospital for the past five weeks. We felt unique and honored. I am really grateful for the beautiful present. My son is utterly enamored with it.
