Sergio is reportedly one of the left-backs that Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund is targeting in the upcoming January transfer window in an effort to bolster the position.
Fran Garcia of Real Madrid and Sergio Reguilon of Tottenham Hotspur are two well-known players that the German team has reportedly made inquiries about, according to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany.
He asserts that the 27-year-old, who is presently on loan from Spurs to Old Trafford, has the option to terminate the agreement in order to move to Signal Iduna Park.
He gave the following update on X, which is translated as follows: “BVB is looking for left-backs; Sergio Reguilón is on the list alongside Fran Garcia. Dortmund has already made a request for him. Currently on loan from Tottenham to Manchester United, the 26-year-old Spaniard has the option to terminate the agreement under a clause.
Reguilon may be enticed to move to Dortmund as he has only made 10 appearances for the Red Devils this season.
Spurs would also consider any offer to permanently release him, as he is no longer needed at the North London team.
Under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham signed Destiny Udogie last year, and he has since established himself as a consistent starter.
He is currently one of the league’s top left-backs and unquestionably one of Spurs’ best players.
As backups, they have Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon, who is almost back from an injury.
