It seems that Tottenham Hotspur is putting in a lot of work in preparation for making acquisitions during the January transfer window.
We’ve already covered rumors that the Spurs are reportedly looking to add a new center back, with Jean-Clair Todibo at the top of their wish list.
According to a Belgian report, Tottenham is now the front-runner to sign Ajax’s youth player Stanis Idumbo-Muzambo.
This season, the 18-year-old winger has made 11 appearances for the Dutch powerhouses’ Under-21 team, scoring three goals.
The “most concrete avenue” for Idumbo-Muzambo, according to DH, is the Spurs, who have extended an offer to him for a “project of four years” to consider.
The Netherlands contract for Idumbo-Muzambo is scheduled to expire at the end of the current campaign. Tottenham is apparently moving forward at this time for this reason.
It seems that Spurs plan to sign the young player and start him in the starting lineup for the remainder of the season. The different parties can then evaluate what has to happen in the summer.
Idumbo-Muzambo’sfutureat Tottenham would determine if he stays to compete for a starting position or goes out on loan to gain experience.
“I need to decide in these next few days,” DH continues. And it looks like Tottenham is now pursuing the Belgium youth international before AS Monaco.

It’s encouraging to know that the Spurs are considering additional gifted players for the future. They’ve performed incredibly well lately, as evidenced by the rise of players like Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr, who established themselves in the first team following loan periods.
In the Netherlands, Idumbo-Muzambo is highly regarded.
He was named earlier this year as one of several players in a “very interesting generation of Ajax Under-18s” by Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig.
The player has since advanced to the Under-21 squad and still appears to be a step above. In light of that, an advance is imminent. Additionally, Spurs will be optimistic about their chances of bringing him to the stadium.
