A star for Tottenham Hotspur, Giovani Lo Celso, said that he and the supporters would love to see Angel Di Maria return to Rosario Central.
Similar to Lo Celso, Di Maria began his career at Rosario Central before joining Benfica in the summer of 2007 and traveling to Europe.
After winning the World Cup with Argentina the previous year, he went on to play for Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Now that he is back at Benfica, there are rumors that the seasoned winger may play out his remaining years at Rosario Central, where he was born.
Lo Celso, a midfielder for Tottenham, expressed his admiration for his Argentine teammate and said he would be happy to see Di Maria rejoin the group.
He acknowledged that it might be difficult to get him out of Europe, but if he could finish his career at Rosario Central, it would be fantastic for both the player and the supporters.
According to a quote from the Spurs star in Mais Futebol, “I would like it.” For him as well as for all the fans, it would be a dream come true.
“We are aware that it is not simple or easy.
We are discussing a player who made a lasting impression on Europe.
“I hope he can benefit from it just as much as the fans do.
“We imagine that wherever he goes, he will receive an ovation, so it would also be incredible for Argentine football.”
Among other honors in European football, Di Maria has won five Ligue 1 titles, one La Liga title, and a Champions League.
