Dallas – The Cleveland Cavaliers are not a fancy club with big-name players that will probably compete for the NBA championship at the conclusion of the season.
However, their coach J.B. Bickerstaff claimed that despite the absence of their star players on December 27, they more than made up for it with “guts, heart, and courage.”
Regarding what led his squad to victory, Bickerstaff described it as “guts, plain and simple.” It was the capacity to dig deep and find a way when circumstances didn’t go as planned.
“We had trouble stopping the opposition in the first half, but as a team, we managed to find a way through.” Without heart, courage, and fortitude, you couldn’t accomplish that.

As Cleveland sports continue to identify themselves with a next-man-up mindset in the midst of injuries, the Cavaliers received a late Christmas gift.
The fan bases of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Browns have experienced an emotional roller coaster this season as they have watched their greatest players get injured and then seen unexpected guys step up to help them defeat formidable opponents.
The Cavaliers, who were missing Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley, managed to rally from a 20-point deficit to defeat Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks 110-107 on the road. After trailing the Mavs by 15 points at the end of the first half, Isaac Okoro, Caris LeVert, and Jarrett Allen put the Cavaliers within single digits to begin the third quarter.
LeVert scored 29 points off the bench to lead the Cavaliers in scoring, followed by the incredible 24 points and 23 rebounds of Jarrett Allen. In the starting five, Isaac Okoro excelled once more, finishing with 22 points on a fantastic 5-of-7 shooting performance from beyond the arc.
Nine of Allen’s twenty-three rebounds came on the offensive glass, which benefited the Cavaliers.
