Tottenham center back Manchester United terminated Sergio Reguilon’s loan earlier today.
The season-long loan move was ended in the January transfer window as a result of the club activating a break clause in his contract.
After Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw suffered injuries, United signed him as an emergency backup. While they were away, he covered fairly for them, making 12 appearances across all competitions. But now that Luke Shaw is back, he is struggling to get consistent playing time, so the team has decided to shorten his stay.
Although he is scheduled to return to Spurs in January, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the player will look to move away in order to obtain regular playing time.

Due to his desire to play frequently, Sergio Reguilón is anticipated to depart Spurs once more during the January transfer window.
After Borussia Dortmund added him to their roster in December, Premier League clubs expressed interest in discussing loan options for him. Race is still up for grabs.
Reguilon has recently drawn interest from AS Roma under Jose Mourinho and Borussia Dortmund.
Jose Mourinho may have “given his approval” for the team to pursue Reguilon as a replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola, whose contract expires at the end of the current campaign, according to a recent report from the Italian publication Il Romanista.
Additionally, according to Romano, a number of Premier League teams have shown interest in signing him. It’s unclear where he will land in the end.

Although Juventus is still in the running to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the Danish midfielder’s window of opportunity is closing.
The current transfer window offers the Bianconeri the chance to bolster their midfield, which has suffered setbacks during the first half of the season.
Juventus has shown interest in Hojbjerg, but hasn’t made much headway in the past few months despite the player’s status as a non-guaranteed starter at Tottenham. It seems improbable that they will finalize an agreement for the former player from Bayern Munich before the end of this month.
Spurs is demanding an outright sale, but Juventus is still offering a loan with a buyout option, according to Tuttomercatoweb. Juventus is unable to finance a permanent transfer due to financial constraints, and Tottenham has not changed its stance.
Consequently, Hojbjerg is unlikely to join Juventus’ roster, and the Danish midfielder may choose to sign with another player instead.
