Leeds 20-year-old set to play for different club today in a bid to win an …
Moore has been a rock for the U21 side but is yet to play for the senior side and now at 20, he needs to go and get some regular senior game time. He did play in the pre-season friendly against Man United.
Reports earlier this week stated that Moore was on his way to Hibernian and had actually flown out to Dubai to meet up with his prospective new teammates. Nothing has been agreed with Leeds, or Moore.
Now, a report from The Record in their transfer blog (January 11, 12.05) claims that Moore will play for Hibs today out in the Middle East. They take on Diogo Monteiro’s former side, Swiss outfit Servette.
It is claimed by The Record that Moore will get minutes and the chance to show Hibs manager Nick Montgomery that he deserves a move to Easter Road. It is unclear if a transfer is a loan, or permanent.
So, do or die for Moore. There will be other clubs that have shown interest in Moore but the chance to join a club the size of Hibs – and the chance to play against Celtic and Rangers – will surely tempt him.
Hopefully, Moore does enough – for the player himself, for Leeds and for Hibs – in today’s friendly to earn a move. There is no point for Moore to keep playing in the 21’s. He has exceeded that level of play.
But he is not going to make it in the senior side at Leeds and a permanent move, or at least an initial loan away from Elland Road is required.
