SAD NEWS FROM COWBOYS DUE TO DEFENSE..

Texas’s Frisco Dan Quinn will decide very soon what to do with his NFL career after this. In addition to serving as the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator since joining the team in 2021, he is finishing up his most recent round of interviews in hopes of returning to the position of head coach in 2024.

While Mike McCarthy will remain with the Cowboys for the upcoming season, Quinn is the other big shoe that has yet to drop. Quinn is anticipated to make his choice as soon as possible.

Quinn’s current status with the Cowboys is expected to continue if he declines an opportunity to become head coach this offseason. McCarthy continues to commend Quinn for his

McCarthy said those talks and meetings are scheduled to start later this week, on a schedule that clearly honors Quinn’s “process” for conducting interviews.

McCarthy stated, “We’ll start that [soon]”. “Right now, some of those discussions will be preliminary, but we’re making progress in that direction. Naturally, there are other chances around this time of year, and we’ll deal with that on a day-to-day basis.”

Even if Quinn stays on, it’s unclear if the coaching staff will look the same in 2024 given McCarthy’s propensity to swap out players for new ones during the previous four seasons in an effort to improve his staff. Examples of these swaps include Joe Philbin for Mike Solari and Mike Nolan for

However, he is undoubtedly still viewed by some as a creative offensive coordinator prospect; perhaps for this reason, there is currently talk that he may sign a “package deal” with Dallas Cowboys top assistant Dan Quinn and leave UCLA to join the Seattle Seahawks.

As we already know, Quinn is a highly sought-after candidate for head coaching, and the Cowboys are making arrangements for his likely departure.
