Former college players have filtered down to Mobile, Alabama for the annual Senior Bowl. Several former Bulldogs made the trip this year and one of them is already making a lot of noise after just one day.
Wide receiver Ladd McConkey got the opportunity to show off his skillset in a 1 on 1 drill and it didn’t take long for the former Bulldog to start trending on the internet.
McConkey became one of the most reliable receivers in Georgia’s offense for the last three seasons. Whether it was taking the top off the defense for a deep shot or creating yards after the catch off a screen pass, McConkey was always making plays for the Bulldogs. Now as an NFL draft prospect, many are intrigued about.
McConkey. He is a bit undersized but it’s hard to ignore what he did in Athens for the last years and what he is doing at the Senior Bowl now.

r Nelson Jr. and Avery Anderson to headline the class. Additionally, former McDonald’s All-American Ernest Udeh was looking to prove his worth after leaving Kansas and Essam Mostafa was arriving from Coastal Carolina. However, I found the play of Trey Tennyson to be the most intriguing highlight of the day. To me, Tennyson’s shooting prowess filled a much-needed hole for the Horned Frogs heading into the year.
A 6-foot-4 shooting guard who is originally from Arlington, TX, Tennyson was a part of a loaded 2019 high school class in Texas that has performed well in the college ranks. During his high school days, he was well known in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for his ability to shoot the ball. But, he was still a slept-on national prospect when it came to his recruitmen
Tennyson signed to Central Connecticut State in high school. And after spending his freshman year as a Blue Devil, he went the junior college route for his sophomore season. Tennyson averaged 16 points a game at Ranger College and this effort earned him a scholarship for Steve Lutz at Texas A&M — Corpus Christ.
In his senior campaign as an Islander, he led the team in scoring en route to helping them qualify for the Big Dance last March. Following his terrific season, Tennyson entered his name in the transfer portal which led to his arrival to TCU as a grad transfer.
Although he didn’t begin this season as a starter, it became clear from his practices that he had a chance to crack the starting lineup at some point during the seaso.
