Michigan Wolverines, Nick Saban, Alabama Crimson Tide
At this weekend’s Waste Management Open in Phoenix, Saban was asked about a potential return to coaching. To which he replied: “If I was going to coach, I’d stayed at Alabama forever.”
In the meantime, the former Tide coach has been working on his golf game.
“It’s one thing to play in front of 100,000 people when you know what you’re doing. It’s different to play in front of a bunch of people when you don’t know what you’re doing,” Nick Saban told NBC Sports.
“It’s fun though. This is a great event. It is fantastic to be here. My golf game is good. It’s always a challenge. You just have to keep on trying to overcome the adversity you have in every sport. It’s a great lesson that you learn by playing any sport,” he concluded.
If there’s any silver lining for Alabama Crimson Tide fans in Tuscaloosa, they won’t have to wait toolong to see Saban on their TV screens. He’ll be joining ESPN’s “College GameDay” crew for the upcoming season.
