BREAKING NEWS: Another day has come Georgia bulldogs has announced about a new skillful player that have received transferred portal today…
Georgia bulldogs gets another player via the Transfer Portal. The Dawgs landed Benjamin Yurosek on Friday. Yurosek played at Stanford for four years and was considered one of the better tight ends not only in the Pac-12 but one of the best tight ends in the country.
Yurosek put up good numbers while playing at Stanford. He caught 108 balls for 1,342 yards while starting the past three years. Yurosek was the leading receiver in 2021 for the Cardinals with 658 receiving yards.
Yurosek only played six games in 2023, catching 16 passes for 239 yards. He was out for half of the season because of a shoulder injury. The injury should not impact him at all going into the 2024 season.
Yurosek hails from Bakersfield, California, and the comparisons to Brock Bowers are not that far-fetched. Yurosek has even carried the ball at Stanford as Bowers did for the Dawgs the past three seasons. Yurosek had 11 carries for 53 yards.
The Dawg’s tight end room was already loaded with talent before Yurosek decided to come to Athens. The Dawgs have Oscar Delp, a rising junior who filled in for Bowers when he was injured. Delp had 24 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns in 2023 and looks to have an even bigger 2024.
Furthermore, the Dawgs have Lawson Luckie, Pearce Spurlin III, Colton Heinrich, and Jaden Reddell, all at the tight end position. It will be interesting to see what the Dawgs’ offense can do with that much talent at one position.
Since the Transfer Portal opened in December, the Dawgs have added guys on the offensive side of the ball. Trevor Etienne, Colbie Young, Michael Jackson III, and Landon Humphries are all offensive weapons that Kirby Smart has brought in to give Carson Beck even more weapons.
We will see a great Georgia offense in 2024, and adding Yurosek will only make the Dawgs offense even more dynamic in 2024!
